About us

B’Ahavat Yisrael, a registered charity in Israel (reg. no. 58-034-129-5), was founded by Joel (Yosef Ben Tzion) Busner in memory of his late wife Simha (Cohen) Busner who passed away in 1998 at the young age of 32. She was a person who was passionate in her love of the Nation and Land of Israel and was constantly giving of herself to these activities.

B’Ahavat Yisrael, which means “With Love of Israel”, is an organization that strives to find what Jews have in common with each other during these very fractious times. B’Ahavat Yisrael staff and volunteers have, over the years, made numerous hospital visits to those injured from terror attacks and road accidents, always with gifts in hand and warm smiles on their faces. Many needy residents of the Shomron (Samaria), who otherwise would not have received aid from larger organizations simply because they live over the green line, have benefited from food distribution sponsored by B’Ahavat Yisrael. During missile attacks, B’Ahavat Yisrael has been there to distribute necessary supplies to bomb shelters. In Northern Israel, youths were being taught by B’Ahavat Yisrael the importance of Avoda Ivrit (Jewish Manual Labor) by participating in different manual work projects. And hundreds of families in Sderot and elsewhere have received generous food packages for holidays and Shabbat since the organization’s inception. Most recently, over the past year and more, B’Ahavat Yisrael has been assisting and encouraging the life-saving activities of the Israel Dog Unit that is engaged in ongoing terror prevention and search and rescue operations throughout Israel.

In short, over the years, B’Ahavat Yisrael has been involved in assisting Jews of all backgrounds and religiousity throughout Israel with their many various needs in whatever way it can – as incoming funds permit.
