We arrived in the neighborhood about a decade ago. Here we were, a young couple with our oldest son, who was two months old at the time. Heeding the Rebbe’s call, we opened a new Chabad center, and started to work with the people in the neighborhood. We took things step by step, but never in our wildest dreams would we have imagined how quickly our programming would expand, and how much neighborhood residents craved it. Or how happy they would be with it. We discovered that they craved a warm, pleasant and welcoming form of Yiddishkeit. Droves of people attend the many events that Chabad organizes, and they’re the best proof that the public truly needs a more approachable style of Judaism.
Today, the Chabad center operates in a rented space within a building located at 21 King Solomon Street, in Netanya, serving as a warm and embracing place for any Jew, one that draws residents of diverse backgrounds on holidays and every day of the year. It’s a center for Jewish life, Jewish society and community, a center for kids and adults, and for both men and women. A warm and welcoming home for all. With the help of the Almighty, the community has expanded in recent years, and we’ve run out of space for our many visitors. This has also made it harder to comfortably host our guests attending the extensive and diverse programming we offer. But with the help of the Almighty, at this auspicious time, we’re now embarking on new path, as we prepare to build and inaugurate a beautiful and spacious synagogue and community center for the Chabad Center of Nitza – Netanya. This unique structure is meant to serve as a beacon for the entire northern and central Netanya district, offering non-stop proactive Jewish programming focusing on education, benevolence, charity, and education designed to connect Jews with their Judaism. To complete this project, we need you. Now’s the time to join this partnership, at this meaningful moment in the life our community, and leave a lasting impression on our future and the future of our children.
